Grimsby Town 1-0 Boreham Wood

Grimsby secured their place in the National League playoffs with a 1-0 win over Boreham Wood at Blundell Park.

The Mariners had narrowly passed Ryan Taylor before John McAtee, returning to the side after an injury layoff, made the best of a defensive error to score in the 19th minute.

Defender Shaun Pearson headed just wide from a long throw-in as Grimsby tried to extend the lead before the break.

McAtee had the ball back in the net early in the second half but was flagged for offside before being denied by Woods goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore, who also chipped away a late header from Harry Clifton.
