British and Irish Lions professor Kyle Sinckler has been cited for an alleged bite during Saturday’s second Test loss to South Africa, World Rugby announced.
The incident is said to have occurred during a jerk in 64 27-9 loss in the Cape Town Stadium.
Sinckler, 28, could face a 12-week suspension if the appeal is confirmed at a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday.
On Saturday, the teams will meet again in a series decision.
England international Sinckler is the only player quoted after a fiery multi-focus encounter.
