Tether developers will release innovative JavaScript libraries designed to facilitate the transmission of commands and signals to Bitcoin (BTC) mining hardware, including WhatsMiner, AvalonMiner, and Antminer.
Paolo Ardoino, Bitfinex and Tether’s Chief Technology Officer, shared on X (formerly Twitter), said certain parts of the mining software could be made available on open-source platforms in the future. The main goal of Tether BTC mining software is to improve the efficient management of mining capacity, leading to more efficient operations.
Stressing his role as a key contributor to Moria, an orchestration tool for mining farms, Ardoino said that all recent advances are based on holepunch technology.
The GM#Tether development team is almost done building sophisticated javascript libraries to control and interact with Whatsminers, Antminers and Avalon miners.
Really high quality stuff, super modular, highly polished.

In a previous post, Ardoino gave insights into the functionality of Moria. This mining tool enables communication between components within the BTC mining ecosystem, enabling interactions through optimized, secure, attack-resistant, and cost-effective means.
Ardoino explained that each miner would have a unique public/private key that would enable encrypted and secure data streaming through hypercores and command reception through hyperswarms. This approach reduces firewall configuration complexity, increases resiliency, allows for easy cross-site replication, and feels like improved maintainability and modularity compared to previous attempts.

Despite legal challenges and regulatory actions, Tether continues to operate in the cryptocurrency mining sector.
After announcing its intention to use a certain portion of its monthly profits to acquire BTC, the company announced its investment in energy production and sustainable BTC mining in Uruguay in partnership with a local company.
Uruguay is known for its robust renewable energy infrastructure. Thanks to its rich natural resources, almost 100% of its electricity comes from renewable sources.
