Manchester City's 3-1 victory over Brentford marked the start of the most exciting title race in eight years.
The top three – Liverpool, City and Arsenal – are separated by just two points after 23 games (22 games for City).
This is the first time it has been so close at this stage since 2015/16, when Leicester City won the title.
But there's more to it than that: Aston Villa are just five points behind Liverpool and Tottenham are another two points behind. It's been a decade since the top five were this close at this point.
“I think it's a five-horse race because they have to believe in it, otherwise why bother? It's a damn good race, it's a really good race. “But for Manchester City it feels like everything is coming together,” Chris Sutton, who won the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers, said on ` Radio 5 Live.
Former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given, who played for Manchester City and Aston Villa, added: “In the title race you have to mention Villa. But in my opinion it’s a three-way race.”
