American model R’Bonney Gabriel won the pageant, which caused some users to flood social networks with publications and comments such as: “The pageant was robbed”, “The crown was for the Dominican Republic”, “The crown was stolen from us .” or “The USA should not have won.”

American rapper of Dominican origin, Cardi B, shared on her Instagram profile images of the follow-up she gave to the beauty pageant in New Orleans, Bet on the Dominican. She didn’t hide her anger when it was announced that the American candidate had won the crown. “I don’t know. There was a bug with that crown. I’m upset. I’m going to bed,” Cardi B commented, promptly completing her broadcast on her Instagram.

He added: “Congratulations and respect to the other misses who competed but ours is the queen. The most beautiful woman in the world is the one from the Dominican Republic”.
Communicator Zoila Luna thanked the Dominican participant through an emotional post on Instagram, saying, “Thank you Andreina. It has been a long time since I saw such a masterful competition as yours. Intelligent, sober, safe, clean, easygoing, elegant, firm, confident. I congratulate you. We felt that this was your year and this was your crown.

Former Miss Universe Amelia Vega expressed her pride with the participation of Andreina Martínez, representing the Dominican Republic, in the seventy-first edition of this beauty pageant, held last Saturday in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.
Amelia posted a story on her Instagram account following the competition. After the jury’s decision placed Andreina as the second semifinalist, the Dominican model expressed her admiration for the young woman.
“I am very proud of our Dominican Queen for doing a great job. They’re all winners because it’s not easy to get there, gentlemen,” Vega pointed out.
She used the room to congratulate current Miss Universe, United States Representative R’Bonney Gabriel. At the same time, she highlighted the effort required by everyone involved to reach the goal.
Amelia Vega is the only Dominican to have won the crown in this 2003 competition, for which she is considered “the eternal queen”.
