I never thought I’d say this, but I have two things in common with celebs like Mila Kunis, Blake Lively, and Hilary Duff. We’re all moms now, and we keep reaching for the same pair of Allbirds sneakers. All known for their casual yet sophisticated street style, Kunis has worn these everyday sneakers many times over the years, while Duff and Lively (and even more of our favorite moms, like Jessica Alba and Lucy Hale) have been spotted with the brand more than a few times.
When I had the chance to test a pair, I was excited to try one of these supportive, sustainable styles, but I was even more intrigued to see what all the fuss about these style icons was about. I put on the Wool Piper Woven Sneakers as soon as they arrived and got it right away. These sneakers are so comfortable that I haven’t worn any other shoes for the past week. It doesn’t hurt that my pair is a creamy “off-white” that pairs easily with everything from leggings and a sweater to jeans and a t-shirt to a midi dress.

My shoe size is usually 5.5, and since this style comes in whole sizes, I followed the brand’s and reviewer’s recommendations to size up. The size 6 is perfect and when I first put these woven sneakers on it felt like my feet were being hugged. The fit is snug and cozy without my feet overheating, thanks to the many layers of breathable and sustainable materials these shoes are made of, like Allbird’s “SweetFoam” midsole, recycled polyester, and soft merino wool.
I wore these sneakers to run all my errands, from the hardware store to the grocery store. I even styled them for a lunch and a friend’s birthday party and they put all my looks together. The sensitive skin on the back of my heels also remained blister free and I didn’t have to go through a break-in period with these sneakers. Also, this pair is machine washable so I can easily put them through normal, everyday use without worrying about stains.

Buyers also give these sneakers many excellent reviews. One person said they’re so comfortable they can stand “for hours.” Another described them as “soft and breathable” and even wore them on a four-mile walk. And a third reviewer, who owns about 15 pairs of Allbirds, said this particular style is “very sturdy.”
