Kevin Hart, Ludacris, Trick Daddy, Tiffany Haddish, And More

There is excitement in the entertainment industry as several prominent figures hit back at comedian Katt Williams after he did an interview with Shannon Sharpe on “Club Shay Shay” on January 3 in which he made derogatory comments about other comedians and artists.

Kevin Hart responds to Williams with a tweet

Comedian Kevin Hart responded to Williams' comments by denying his remarks and urging him to vent his anger. Hart tweeted, “I need to get out the anger you leave to the champ,” adding, “It's honestly sad.” Hart also used the opportunity to promote his upcoming Netflix comedy “Lift,” in a subtle way A swipe at the standup comedian, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Hart wrote: “In the meantime…. Have fun with MY MOVIE TRAILER. …There's a moment in the trailer where [co-star Gugu Mbatha-Raw] says, 'They really love you'…Now I know she's talking about 'Katt'.”

During the interview, Williams questioned the authenticity of Hart's rise to fame and accused him of being an “industry plant” chosen by Hollywood studios.

The dispute between the two appears to go back to 2018. When Hart said during an interview on The Breakfast Club that Williams lost his chance in Hollywood because he “didn't show up for work,” he claimed Williams was skipping commercial shoots and trips and “became a risk to the studios, which is why.” “The studios have stopped working with you.” Hart also accused Williams of choosing drugs over the course of his career, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Ludacris drops freestyle diss on Williams

Hip-hop artist and actor Ludacris, who was also targeted by Williams in the interview, responded with a fiery freestyle. Although he didn't directly name Williams, Ludacris addressed the allegations against him, denied any involvement with the Illuminati and mocked Williams' conspiracy theories.

In the interview, Williams accused Ludacris of joining the so-called Illuminati cult and also targeted Ludacris' wife, Eudoxie Mbouguiengue, Billboard reported.

Luda rhymed: “Whatever is heavy on my mind is always on my mind. Like Snoop’s cannabis shredder, I’m always at work,” the freestyle begins. “They throw shade 'cause they could never stand my shine/ I'm bringing my watch collection on my jet, take my time/ Like fine wine I'm aging like Benjamin/ Top 5, I'm worth mentioning/ Bring me rappers , I'm lynching them.” “I was never Illuminati, just Ill-Luda-nati/ And I only left with b–s when I came from some party/ Now I'm married with children, the evolution of life/ Never been a power chaser, never say s–t for likes/ RIP John Singleton, you never have to bend when you've earned every one of your Fast and Furious checks/ Afro with the sideburns, yeah, that's my trademark/ The addiction is on the rise, comedians take your temperature.”

Trick Daddy challenges Williams

Miami rap legend Trick Daddy jumped into the fray, defending his friend Rickey Smiley, who Williams criticized for allegedly throwing a tantrum on the set of Friday After Next. According to TMZ, Trick Daddy directly challenged the comedian, claiming he was “the best in Dade County” and willing to settle their differences on the street.

Trick Daddy emphasized that black men should support each other instead of tearing each other down for online attention, echoing the sentiments of many who felt Williams' interview unnecessarily targeted other black entertainers.

Haddish hit back

In 2018, while a guest on a radio morning show on Atlanta's V-103, Williams praised Haddish's stand-up comedy skills.

“She hasn’t proven that she’s capable of not telling jokes to anyone in a row for an hour,” he criticized.

He further stated that her fame came from making jokes that appealed to white audiences. He also suggested that she had lied about an abusive former partner and profited from it with her memoir, The Last Black Unicorn.

Haddish responded to his comments and appeared to come to terms with Williams at the 2018 Emmy Awards, where both won. Bu during his final interview, Williams lashed out at Haddish again and attacked her stand-up resume. She quickly took to Instagram to respond that she wasn't mad at Williams, but that he got his facts wrong and that she would “send him a reminder text” before comparing him to Charleston White, an online personality, who is known for making controversial statements. The Los Angeles Times reported.
