The meltdowns in Philadelphia are spectacular.

NBC Sports Philadelphia anchor Michael Barkann threw a tantrum after the “pathetic” New York Giants defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 27-10 in Sunday's regular-season finale at MetLife Stadium.

The Eagles have lost five of their last six regular-season games and are limping into the wild-card game against the Buccaneers on Monday night in Tampa.

“If you thought last week that they had hit rock bottom, they haven't hit rock bottom yet, as bad as that looks,” Barkann said as NBC showed the Eagles leaving the field. “You saw your Philadelphia Eagles today, losing 27-10, to the New York Giants, the pathetic New York Giants… They stunk like they have in five of the last six weeks. Confused, without passion, without intensity, without extra effort, without wanting. They’re just going through the motions.”

Not everything is rosy in Philadelphia, as the former Super Bowl favorites, led by the former MVP favorite, no longer seem to be a threat to return to the Super Bowl.

While three of the Eagles' five losses in the last six weeks have come against solid-to-strong teams like the 49ers, Cowboys and Seahawks, Philadelphia has edged out of the division with losses at home to the Cardinals and on the road to the Giants, thereby missing the playoffs.

The Eagles didn't even show up for Sunday's game, falling behind 24-0 at halftime against a Giants team they had dominated of late.

Because of Sunday's loss, Barkann predicted the Eagles would have a playoff decision, even though Philadelphia had already won 25-11 in Week 3 in Tampa.

“You know what, this is where the regular season ends for the Philadelphia Eagles, a loss to the New York Giants, a loss to Tampa Bay next week, they say,” Barkann said. “From this week to next, they won’t be fixing anything.”

The NBC anchor particularly cheered on and singled out coaching staff and defensive player Matt Patricia as he entered the Eagles' locker room.

“Matt Patricia dropping a guy with back-to-back 10-sack seasons (Haason Reddick) back into coverage, and the same goes for Josh Sweat not covering the guy he was supposed to cover when he gets back into coverage Reporting falls,” Barkann said. “You dont know what you are doing. The coaching staff didn't, neither did the players, and when you look at that you realize they've lost the desire to play hard…”

Co-host Barrett Brooks then took the lead to break down the team's battle.

“That’s the worst thing about this place. This team doesn't fight, they don't put their hearts out there to play football. “This is a disrespect to my sport, a sport I played for 12 years,” Brooks said. “I have never left the field the way these guys are leaving the field now. They don't even look angry, they don't even look mad, it's like they're just out there just going through their motions. Come on now. That doesn’t make any sense to me.”
