The BBC Sports Personality of the Year will be held on December 19th in Salford’s MediaCity and will be broadcast on BBC One.
Gary Lineker, Clare Balding, Gabby Logan and Alex Scott present the 68th awards in front of a studio audience.
The show celebrates 12 months of incredible athletic action that spanned the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Other notable moments include Emma Raducanu’s historic triumph at the US Open, England’s entry into the European Championship final and Chelsea’s victory in the Champions League.
“With sporting events back to normal and our teams and athletes doing great things, this year was one of the most memorable for many reasons,” said BBC Sports Director Barbara Slater.
“The awards ceremony in Salford will have a lot going for it and the entire BBC Sports team is looking forward to it.”
