John Krasinski recruited some of his famous friends – Dwayne Johnson! George Clooney! Justin Timberlake! – for a special Christmas edition of Some Good News.
There was a surprise special from the YouTube show that the Jack Ryan star created early during the COVID-19 pandemic and then sold to ViacomCBS – and it was especially heartwarming.
After Krasinski delivered a lightning-fast round of good news from the Internet – Timberlake showed up to host the show and Clooney gave his assessment of the weather (“looks pretty good”) – the big highlight was a visit from “Dwanta Claus , Better known as Johnson, for announcing a $ 5 million donation from sponsor FedEx to Toys for Tots.
It started after Krasinski put the spotlight on his Hero Parent of the Week election, a widowed father named Jay Abel who was selling his prized comic book collectibles on eBay so he could buy Christmas presents for his children. Krasinski told the “superdad,” who was unemployed during the pandemic, that he had tried to buy Abel’s offerings, but Abel thought it was a joke and blocked the sale.
Then Johnson showed up in his “Dwanta” hat and did what he did best, which spread cheers.
“Get all of your stuff off eBay because Dwanta Claus will take care of all of this, man,” said Johnson, who promised to buy all of the LOL dolls and video games on Abel’s list of gifts for children.

Johnson then invited Abel, who tweeted the star earlier this month, to ask him to share his eBay listing, visit him in the DC Universe in Southern California once he was safe, and promised Abel his Black Adam- Script and said he had a leather-bound book for him.
You are such a dad and a retweet is all you want?
I have a little more on my mind for you. Be ready
You are a good man, Jay.
We need more like you.

At the time, Johnson said Abel was representing many parents struggling at this time of year and announced that FedEx would donate the $ 5 million for toys for children in need.
The story goes on
Johnson said to Abel, “You embody the spirit. And I am very confident that I can speak here for my friend John, that the true measure of a man and the true measure of a person is really always what is in their heart. Whatever is deep in her heart and in her mana … You inspire us. “
