Most recently, Rob served as Gemini’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) responsible for all aspects of the technology, including technology vision, roadmap, deployment and operations across the company. While at Gemini, he helped build and support the global digital asset exchange, NFT marketplace and Gemini Custody, as well as the launch of Gemini Dollar (GUSD) Stablecoin, Gemini Mobile, ActiveTrader trading application, Gemini Clearing, Gemini Pay and Gemini Earn Products.
Prior to joining Gemini, Rob was the Chief Information Officer of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Rob reported directly to the NYSE President and served as the information and technology leader for the NYSE, which is home to more than 2,800 publicly traded companies and over 1.5 billion stocks traded daily on its platform. While at NYSE, he helped build multiple exchanges on their latest technology platform, as well as the acquisitions of the National Stock Exchange (NSX) and the Chicago Stock Exchange (CSX).
Prior to NYSE, Rob worked for the International Securities Exchange for 17 years, where he helped build the exchange and build the software development team. Over the years he expanded his technology management to include all technology and became chief information officer and chief information security officer at the International Securities Exchange. During this time he also became an advisor to the Technology Committee of the Board of Directors of Options Clearing Corporations (OCC) and a member of the Financial Services Information and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) and the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC).
At the beginning of his career, Rob worked as a software development consultant and held various positions in development and management consulting.
