Celebrities are rushing to defend actor Lukas Gage after a viral video showed an unnamed director making fun of his apartment during a Zoom foreplay.

On Friday, 25-year-old Gage, who appeared on the HBO show Euphoria and Veronica Mars, posted the awkward video on Twitter and Instagram. “Psa, if you’re a non-speaking director, make sure you don’t mute the zoom [meetings],” he wrote.

The video features a man with a British accent saying, “These poor people live in these tiny apartments – it’s like I’m looking at his background and he’s got this TV and …” as Gage’s face falls .

“Yes, I’m dumb,” Gage replies. “I know it’s a small apartment. So give me this job so I can get a better one. Okay, done? “

“Oh my god,” says the man. “I am so sorry.”

“Look, I live in a four-by-four box, it’s fine just quit the job and we’ll be fine,” joked Gage.

Twitter royalties surfaced to defend the actor. The 40-year-old director of the virgin Judd Apatow replied: “As a young man I would have dreamed of an apartment like this. Check out this cute flat screen TV! The guitar! The molded parts! “While Superstar’s Molly Shannon wrote,” You did so well, Lukas. What a lousy thing to say of him. And this is where you stand up for your audition. Vulnerable, want to get the part, etc. “

Patrick Schwarzenegger, son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, wrote, “I don’t know how you reacted so well lol,” and actress Zelda Williams, daughter of late actor Robin Williams, wrote, “As @lukasgage goes viral on movie Twitter because he is graceful, quick thinking sweetheart that he is, I would like to add for any (not a ** hole) director that he’s a pleasure to work with too, funny, talented and a lot of fun on the set. Hire this man! “

Musician Joe Jonas, husband of Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, wrote, “Treated like a champ,” while Madmen star January Jones commented, “Classy answer from Luke. What a legitimate hole me being who it was, so that I can make a note of never working with that person. “

The story goes on

“Yeah, dumb,” joked Dakota Fanning. Wilmer Valderrama wrote: “You are a class. From that date, this director officially has an expiration date. “And Oliver Hudson, Kate Hudson’s brother, added,” This is an amazing man …! Hahahha. “

While some were trying to guess the director’s identity, Shameless star Emmy Rossum had a guess, according to Today: “If that’s who I’m thinking of, he asked me to audition for him once. But not read a scene.” He said he knew I could act. Just to get into his office in a bikini and make a fuss. No joke. That was the question. My co-workers said he wanted to know if I was ‘fat’ right now. “
