Ongoing protests in Seattle have sparked a Twitter row amongst President Donald Trump, the city’s mayor, Jenny Durkan, and Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, who are the two Democrats.

What is actually going on?

Seattle Police Assistant Main Deanna Nollette mentioned they have been given stories that a team of protesters set up barricades and “some armed people working them as checkpoints” in the city’s East Precinct on Capitol Hill.

CNN affiliate KOMO stories that protesters have surrounded the spot with barricades and are calling it the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone. Law enforcement left the East Precinct setting up in the Capitol Hill community, boarded up, but unoccupied. Officers are only responding to crisis phone calls.
