In the first game of the Premier League, Wolves won a surprise 2-1 win against Tottenham

The Manchester United vs Luton Town, Arsenal vs Burnley and Crystal Palace vs Everton games have just begun.

And finally, Bournemouth host Newcastle from 5.30pm.

Today the curtain falls on the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division season.

In the first game of the day, Shelbourne are 2-0 up at half-time away to Cork City.

Bohemians will later face Treaty United at 3pm and Shamrock Rovers will face Athlone Town from 4pm.

Champions Peamount will finally get their hands on the trophy after tonight’s home game against Sligo from 4.30pm, while Wexford Youths take on Galway United at the same time.

The Provincial Club Championships reached their quarter-finals in all four provinces this weekend.

On Saturday Trillick of Tyrone face Armagh’s Crossmaglen Rangers in the Ulster Senior Football Championship at Healy Park at 7.15pm.

Meanwhile, in the Connacht Senior Football Championship, Mayo’s Ballina Stephenites welcome London’s Fulham Irish to MacHale Park for a 6pm throw-in.
