FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas’ 19 sports combined for an overall athletic department program post a multi-year average of 984.4 for the latest NCAA-released academic progress rate report, according to a UA announcement Tuesday.

It is the 11th straight year that Arkansas’ multi-year rate has surpassed the NCAA benchmark of 930, with an average of 970 over that span.

The APR score is based on the academic aptitude and retention of athletes in each sport. The multi-year results of the current report are based on the academic years 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22.

Soccer has a multi-year score of 959 and 994 for the 2021-22 school year. Men’s basketball has a multi-year score of 962 and 902 for the 2021-22 school year.

Six programs achieved a perfect multi-year score of 1,000: men’s cross country and tennis, and women’s golf, gymnastics, softball and volleyball.

In the 2022-23 academic year, 84 Arkansas athletes will be eligible to attend graduation ceremonies in either the fall or spring, according to the UA publication.
