We asked your opinion after Hearts suffered a fourth defeat in their last five league games at Kilmarnock.
It is fair to say that you are not very satisfied at the moment:
Jim: Tactics have always been pretty negative since the days of Levein. Too much backward and sideways passing. There are no worthy midfielders in the squad and the defense is poor.
Anon: The players don’t know what they’re doing and the manager overthinks everything and plays around with the selection every week – it’s obvious he’s clueless. He’s never played away against teams we should beat – it’s like Levein again.
Andy: There are too many deadweights on the team who don’t produce like Kio and Ginnelly, but Neilson keeps picking them. I’ve said before that Sibbick isn’t a defender and doesn’t have positional sense, but Neilson keeps playing him there. He did a good job to get us to where we are now but because of his poor tactics and player choices he has to go!
James: It’s time for a change – no points for six weeks. I am an ardent Hearts supporter, but we are in a crisis that needs to be resolved as soon as possible. It won’t be enough to continue with the same manager who has honestly taken the club as far as he can. The fans deserve better, look at the millions they’ve invested in it.
Anon: I was a supporter of Robbie but now I think he took us as far as he could. If he stays, he must change his own apathetic attitude and solve the team’s attitude problem. He can start by falling out of shape, lazy players like McKay. I would dock player wages for lack of effort.
Brian: It’s ridiculous. The football we play is not good enough. We make stupid mistakes in defense and don’t react fast enough in attack. I think it’s time to reconsider our tactics because all the other teams know exactly how we’re playing and react to it. We’re lucky to get through to Europe the way we play and all we get are excuses.
George: Just not good enough. No more excuses. Neilson: If the players aren’t performing, get rid of them. If your tactics are wrong (and they are), change them. Matches are won by scoring goals, not by playing around in defense when we have players who are struggling to control the ball.
Ian: It’s the same old record from the manager over and over again and how many times are we going to hear about the game passing Snodgrass? We have an overrated coach and overrated players. We’ve been told we have a good squad now, but they still cite injuries as the cause of poor results. I just wish the reporters would give Neilson a harder time after the game.
Buster: This result comes as no surprise – Hearts just aren’t good enough to take third place this year. We’re a top six team at best with no consistency at all and we certainly don’t deserve the great support we’re getting week in and week out. Patience is running out, Robbie!
