If you’ve even glanced at your Instagram feed this weekend, chances are you’ve seen snaps of celebs like Gigi Hadid, Zendaya, Karlie Kloss and Priyanka Chopra walking the red carpet in sari couture, surrounded by the colorful opulence of India. No, it wasn’t exactly the Mumbai Met Gala, although it could have been.
A host of Hollywood stars, supermodels and celebrities were actually in town to celebrate the opening weekend of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC). Conveniently, the weekend kicked off with Dior’s Pre-Fall 2023 runway show, setting the mood for the next few days of style, glamor and appreciation of India’s vibrant culture.
The celebrations included gala dinners, after parties and performances galore, along with the unveiling of a grand theatre, a fine arts gallery and a stunning new fashion exhibition curated by Hamish Bowles. Needless to say, the views (both from the guests and from the museum) were stunning.
