BEAVERTON, Ore., Nov. 14, 2023–(BUSINESS WIRE)–NIKE, Inc. (NYSE:NKE) today announced leadership changes that will continue to build on its strong momentum and deep commitment to empowering athletes with product innovation and design Excellence and powerful storytelling as we imagine the future of sports and serve consumers quickly and at scale.
As we look to the next chapter of growth, John Hoke, a 30-year Nike veteran, will become Chief Innovation Officer of NIKE, Inc. Hoke, who most recently served as Nike’s first Chief Design Officer, will work with Tom Clarke, President of Innovation, NIKE, Inc., to strengthen and accelerate Nike’s innovation strategy and differentiation.
Hoke’s successor as Chief Design Officer of NIKE, Inc. will be 26-year-old Nike designer Martin Lotti. With decades of experience and leadership at Nike, Lotti assumes Nike’s top design role, having most recently served as Chief Design Officer for the Jordan Brand. In his new role, Lotti will oversee all aspects of Nike design, from footwear and apparel to brand and retail concepts.
The leadership changes with Hoke and Lotti take effect immediately.
Industry leader Nicole Hubbard Graham will be the company’s new Chief Marketing Officer, NIKE, Inc., effective January 2, 2024. Graham, a former Nike veteran with 18 years of experience, will lead Nike’s Global Brand Marketing team and all Aspects of marketing monitor and align the company’s brand voice ahead of its next era of growth. Previously, she held various global marketing leadership roles at Nike across the company and in all regions. Most recently, she co-founded Adopt, a minority-owned business and creative agency.

Graham succeeds Dirk-Jan “DJ” van Hameren, who has decided to retire next summer after a glittering and impressive 31 years at Nike. A former Olympian, van Hameren was a visionary leader who laid the foundation for Nike’s global brand storytelling. His leadership drove the company forward over three decades and built the brand’s world-class marketing team.

Hoke, Lotti and Graham will report to O’Neill.
Dr. Muge Erdirik Dogan will join NIKE, Inc. as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to further deepen and strengthen the speed, efficiency and quality of Nike’s customer experiences across products, platforms and services. The role will deliver technological innovation to accelerate NIKE, Inc.’s bold growth plans. Dr. Dogan will be a member of the executive team and will report to John Donahoe, President and CEO of NIKE, Inc.
Dr. Dogan comes to Nike from Amazon, where she most recently served as president of Amazon Fashion and led the business, technology, science, product and operations teams. She previously held leadership roles at Amazon, including Vice President of Last Mile Delivery and General Manager of Beauty and Baby for North America.
