After four years at the University of Michigan, cornerback DJ Turner announced Friday that he is signing up for the NFL. In a lengthy Instagram post, Turner thanked everyone who made his journey at UM possible.
“First, I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to practice the sport I love, without you none of this would be possible.
“To my teammates who have become my brothers, thank you for these past four seasons and I wouldn’t have done it with anyone else. We were able to achieve many goals that we had set ourselves. I am forever grateful for the memories we made and the bonds we created.
“To Coach HarbaughThank you for keeping your promise to my family to always treat me as one of yours.
“To my trainers (Coach Minter, Coach Clink, Coach Macdonald, Coach Mo and Coach Herb) Thank you for helping me grow as a young man and player while I was here at the University of Michigan.

With up-and-coming student Will Johnson holding onto one side of the field, Michigan must now find a replacement for Turner, who, along with Johnson and Gemon Green, has done a great job on the corner for UM all year.
