Huset’s Speedway Crowning Track Champion Sunday

BRANDON, SD – A championship will be decided this Sunday at Huset Speedway during Royal River Casino Night.

All three leading weekly divisions – Big Frig presented Casey’s 410 Sprint Cars, Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series and Nordstrom’s Automotive Late Model Street Stocks – will compete for the title during the Wyffels Hybrids RaceSaver Sprint Car Series season finale for the division.

Jacob Hughes goes five points clear of Lee Goos Jr. as Brandon Bosma is just 19 points from the top spot. There is also a close battle between drivers in fourth through sixth overall, with Koby Werkmeister and Cole Vanderheiden both 42 points behind Hughes. Defending champion Dusty Ballenger is just one point behind Werkmeister and Vanderheiden.

The championship fight in the Casey’s 410 Sprint Cars presented by the Big Frig Division is also tight, with Matt Juhl a point clear of defending champion Justin Henderson with a trio of points races remaining. Austin McCarl is 12 points behind Juhl, Brooke Tatnell is 17 points behind and Kaleb Johnson is 32 points behind the leader.

Zach Olivier leads Nordstrom’s Automotive Late Model Street Stocks rankings by 23 points over Matt Steuerwald, with Colby Klaassen (28 points behind Olivier), Tim Dann (30 points behind) and defending champion Cory Yeigh (52 points behind) in the top five round off . Only two points races remain for the division.
