2023 Jaguar XE price and specs: 300 Sport is coming, prices are rising

The Jaguar XE sedan range has been pared down to one model class, the new, more expensive 300 Sport, which gains some and loses other features compared to the 2022 models.

That 2023 Jaguar XE The luxury sedan line-up has been pared down to a sporty model class – with a higher price point than either of the cars it replaces and a reshuffled equipment list.

Following similar ‘Sport’ versions of the E-Pace, F-Pace and XF, Jaguar has unveiled a 300 Sport version of its mid-size XE, with a range of black styling cues, typically optional chassis parts and a carry bag. via turbocharged petrol.

Available to order now, prices from $79,825 plus road costs – $3955 more than the most expensive variant of the 2022 XE lineup, the P300 R-Dynamic HSE is $75,870 plus road costs.

Compared to the R-Dynamic HSE, the 300 Sport gets standard 20-inch alloy wheels, the Black Exterior Pack (with black exterior trim), a 17-speaker Meridian surround sound system, adaptive suspension and configurable driving modes.

However, the 12.0-inch all-digital instrument cluster is replaced with a 7.0-inch display with analog dials, Matrix LED headlights for “Premium” standard LED headlights, perforated Windsor leather seats for “DuoLeather” synthetic trim and an electrically adjustable steering column.

These removed features all cost extra now as optional extras: $1350 for Matrix LED headlights, $1170 for Windsor leather upholstery, $650 for the 12.0-inch instrument display, and $650 for the power steering column (or $3820 combined).

The range of option packs for the XE range has been reduced from five to two – while there are a number of standalone options and colors to choose from.

The price of the Convenience Pack has increased from $750 to $1630 as it now includes the power steering column previously standard on the 2022 R-Dynamic HSE – however the Activity Key previously available on 2022 vehicles will not offered for 2023.

Power comes from the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine as before, sending 221 kW (or 300 hp, hence the 300 Sport badge) and 400 Nm to all four wheels via a conventional eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Jaguar claims a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, a top speed of 250 km/h and a fuel consumption in combined driving (city and motorway) of 6.9 liters per 100 kilometers.
