Ron Shuman used a three-week hiatus from the World of Outlaws to improve his racing car and on Sunday afternoon, April 8, claimed his first win of the 1984 season at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway.
Shuman rode the #21x Stephens around Sammy Swindell, who won Saturday’s prelim, with three laps to go to take the $6,425 win on the famous half-mile circuit.
Tim Green passed Swindell late for second. Swindell, his brother Jeff and Doug Wolfgang completed the top five.
