Former New York Giants tight end Kyle Rudolph is entering the next phase of his life and career.
After a disappointing 2022 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Rudolph is now moving to the cabin. And after the two-time Pro Bowler got his feet wet during a USFL game in the spring, he’s set to join NBC’s Big Ten Sports broadcast team.

Kyle Rudolph had never been in a booth before.
Of course, Notre Dame Stadium was a good place to start.
This is not how most networks train new analysts. Usually, they are put to the test of playing a recorded game in a studio, away from the eyes and ears of the general public. Rudolph figured this would give him a solid reputation before he got into USFL work. Instead, NBC placed the former Notre Dame tight end and 12-year NFL veteran in the same booth that once occupied Tony Dungy, Drew Brees and Mike Mayock.
For Rudolph, a Notre Dame grad, NBC seems a natural fit — even after a rocky start last spring.
“I wouldn’t recommend your first broadcast being a spring game,” Rudolph said. “It was definitely an experience.”
Rudolph, a Minnesota Vikings second-round pick in 2011, signed with the Giants in 2021 but failed to resume his career as expected. He appeared in 16 games (13 starts) and recorded 26 receptions for 257 yards and a touchdown.
