“Very happy and proud of the team, we are not giving up” – Alonso
Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso will start the Chinese Grand Prix third, he said: “We didn’t give up, we kept pushing the whole lap and I set a good lap time. I think the car has improved since this morning. We made a few setup changes, let’s see if we can translate that into points tomorrow.”
Commenting on the opening of the new Parc Ferme, he added: “I think it’s the same for everyone. You can't change the car completely because you're in the rhythm of the weekend, but you can still make a few small changes to the setup. Some of these are just for balance, but others are just guesses.” You go into the morning fresh and just flip the coin. We won’t know the answer until tomorrow, but we are extremely happy and proud of the team, we are not giving up.”
