Celebrating the grand opening of a new sports complex at a Sacramento high school. A special ribbon cutting ceremony was held today at HIRAM JOHNSON HIGH SCHOOL, officially opening the school's sports complex. IT INCLUDES NEW PITCHING FIELDS FOR SCHOOLS, BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL TEAMS. There is also a practice facility for the school's golf team. OUR STUDENTS AT HIRAM JOHNSON HIGH SCHOOL HAVE NOTHING TO BE PROUD ABOUT THEIR SPORTS FACILITIES FOR YEARS. They looked around and saw things that other schools didn't have and that can't be said now. THE FACILITIES HERE ARE UNMATCHED AND WE HAVE GIVEN OUR STUDENT ATHLETES OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTICIPATE IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT IS UNIQUE AT OTHER SCHOOLS. IT MUST FEEL GOOD. A special ribbon cutting ceremony was held at Hiram Johnson High School on Thursday to officially open the school's athletic complex. It includes new fields for the school's baseball and softball teams. There is also a practice facility for the school's golf team. The opening of the sports complex is the final phase of several improvements, including new turf on the soccer field, a new running track, bleachers, lighting, and concession and restroom buildings.
