Blurton claims second OCRS triumph

LONGDALE, Oklahoma — The AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories Oil Capital Racing Series Sprint Cars returned to Longdale Speedway Saturday for the first time in seven years, with Zach Blurton claiming his second win of the season.

Blurton, who earned his first career OCRS win on April 1 at Enid Speedway, started outside the second row in the 25-round main event and took the lead from Joe Bob Lee with seven rounds to go to become the first repeat winner of the season become.

Lee maintained his second spot while 2016 Longdale winner Zach Chappell was third. Alex DeCamp finished fourth and championship leader Johnny Kent moved up two spots to finish fifth. Steven Shebester earned Hard Charger Honors by moving up from 10th to sixth place.
