Ben Burnell is the son of former London Welsh and Rotherham Titans manager Justin Burnell
The Jersey Reds have signed Cardiff fly-half Ben Burnell.
The 20-year-old has played international youth rugby for Wales and in the Welsh Premier League for both Cardiff and Pontypridd.
Jersey has not revealed the length of the deal Burnell has signed.
“Ben has been on our radar for at least a year and is a player with impressive ability who we believe has the potential to develop further,” said Jersey Reds boss Harvey Biljon.
“He’s got some big boots to fill if you think we’ve had players like Kieran Hardy and Callum Sheedy who came to Jersey at a similar age and played for Wales a couple of years later, but that’s the kind of opportunity that we as boys want to enjoy players.”
