Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has dissolved the Ondo State Football Agency Interim Committee with immediate effect.
In a statement yesterday in Akure, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Richard Olatunde, said the dissolution was due to better performance.
Consequently, the Governor placed the Agency’s administration under the direct supervision of the Department of Youth and Sport Development until the Board was constituted.
He also directed that efforts must be made within a year to find a suitable investor to acquire Sunshine Stars Football Club under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) agreement.
Akeredolu thanked the members of the Interim Committee, headed by Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for their good work.
He reiterated his government’s commitment to repositioning the State Football Authority for optimal performance and results-driven innovation.
