HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – The Adaptive Cycling Community Day and Development Clinic offers the community an opportunity to try bikes that have been adapted for people with physical disabilities. These bikes are similar to those used in racing competitions. US Olympic/Paralympic Committee trainers will lead the workshop and provide participants with support and questions
Participants can ride handbikes across the parking lot and take a lap in a wheelchair basketball wheelchair. There will also be TVs for virtual cycling.
In addition, Rocket City Trikes is bringing its recumbent tricycles for everyone to try. Adaptable to any fitness level and most special needs, these trikes can be a good training option for the elderly.
The event is free and open to anyone who wants to attend or learn more about adaptive cycling in general.

We also hope to welcome para athletes from other countries to get to know each other.
This event is linked to the UCI Para-Cycling Road World Cup the following weekend, 26-29. May, connected at Cummings Research Park!
This training is conducted with the support of the UAH Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the UAH Ability Sport Network. The ASN is an adapted youth sports league focused on Paralympic sports and serving middle and high school students with functional limitations due to physical disabilities.
