Webull launches futures trading – Traders Magazine

Webull, a low-cost trading platform, has expanded its product offering to include futures and commodities trading, giving customers the opportunity to further diversify their portfolios.

Arianne Adams

According to Arianne Adams, Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Derivatives at Webull, the company is introducing futures trading to respond to customer demand, expand global access with a more diverse product offering and extend its value proposition to the fastest growing customer segment in the Improve world industry.

“Brokerage firms are moving into the futures space in response to retail investor demand for more diverse financial products and features,” she commented.

Access to futures has traditionally been reserved for institutional investors due to their complexity, she noted.

“Futures trading remains an important portfolio diversification product and Webull is proud to continue its legacy of democratizing access to financial products with this offering,” Adams told Traders Magazine.

Futures trading provides Webull users with a platform to participate in the futures market by allowing them to speculate on the direction/price movement rather than owning the underlying asset.

Futures trading enables Webull clients to take their investment strategies to the next level by diversifying their portfolios and managing risk.

It also provides users with access to a wide range of global markets, allowing them to participate and effectively use their leverage in their investment strategies as they can speculate on important economic events and assets.

Webull customers also gain access to various asset classes such as commodities, currencies and indices, as well as tools to better understand these investments.

The product initially focuses on futures outrights in a select group of highly liquid futures markets, supplemented by some of the most common order types such as market, limit, stop market and stop limit orders.

Adams said futures represent a compelling investment opportunity for retail traders as they allow investors to diversify their portfolio trading instruments to manage macro risk more efficiently.

“They also provide investors with access to global markets and enable them to participate – although access may not have been easy in the past,” she said.

Webull customers interested in using Futures but unfamiliar with the product can take advantage of a full suite of educational materials and advanced tools and analytics.

This offering is currently available in the US with plans to expand globally in the future.

Adams says Webull prides itself on assessing retail investor sentiment and delivering products that meet their needs.

“We will continue to provide innovative trading products, investment tools and educational materials that provide retail investors with a more seamless trading experience and enable us to grow our customer base,” she said.
