With the new Premier League season finally here, many fans will be taking a look at the betting futures markets to predict what could happen over the next ten months of the season.
Manchester City completed their historic treble last year, winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League titles, securing a dream season in English football history. Having won five of the last six Premier League championships and three in a row, Pep Guardiola and the Citizens feel like they always have the edge.
Arsenal pushed them hard last season but in the end City came out on top against the Gunners. Manchester United are hoping for improvement in their second year as manager of Erik ten Hag, while Liverpool and Chelsea have retooled after disappointing results.
Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton Town are the newcomers to the English top flight and will look to survive in order to secure another economic win that comes with another season in the top flight.
The Sporting News has examined the futures markets for the 2023/24 Premier League season at Unibet and identified the most valuable options available to those looking to bet on the season.

The best Premier League bets for the future 2023/24
Here are our picks for the best bets on the many Unibet futures markets:
Premier League title winner
| man city | arsenal | Liverpool | Man United | Chelsea | |
| Unibet (Australia) |
1.80 | 6:00 am | 9.00 | 12.00 | 17.00 |
Pep Guardiola has not rested on his laurels after winning the historic treble. While Ilkay Gundogan was sailing towards Barcelona, Man City replaced him with the signing of Mateo Kovacic at a reduced price, fooling Chelsea while also adding the very capable 29-year-old Croatian.
Arsenal got better too, and There is absolute value in winning the Gunners at odds of 6.00, but betting against Man City feels like a disaster just waiting to happen. Unless someone ousts them, there’s no point in betting on anyone else, but odds of 1.80 just don’t seem convincing enough given how much can happen in an entire season.
Liverpool need to show they are better than last season and it could take time for the chemistry to develop in their new midfield. Man United should be competitive but the Red Devils showed real defensive problems in the pre-season. Chelsea are in a mess and need a long term vision to get back on top.
Stay away from the other teams outside of Arsenal as this is truly a one-on-one race.

- Best bid: Everton relegated (4.00 on Unibet)
One would have thought the Toffees would learn from two back-to-back flirtation with relegation where Everton seemed genuinely on the verge of relegation. Both times they were saved by the simple fact that there were just enough bad teams around them to stay on top.
Once again, Everton face relegation at the start of the season. The club is in terrible financial shape which leaves them unable to spend money in the transfer window. The complete lack of reinforcements for this Swiss cheese squad means it’s well worth being dragged back into the maelstrom.
It’s crazy to imagine them surviving the third straight relegation battle.

- Best bid: Erling Haaland top scorer (1.72 at Unibet)
As with Manchester City in the title race, while there are some who could challenge Erling Haaland as top scorer, supporting anyone other than the Norwegian seems absurd.
1.72 odds are usually crazy for the future ahead of a full season considering there could be injuries or other issues that could prevent the Golden Boot hunt. But given Haaland’s dominance at the top of Man City, there’s every reason to believe he’ll be back at the top of the charts and those chances almost feel like stealing.
If Haaland can remain healthy throughout the season, he will only need to perform two-thirds of the way he did last year to claim the win.
Future prospects for Premier League teams

Liverpool Under 77.5 goals |

1.85 | 1.85 |
- Best bid: Liverpool OVER 77.5 goals (1.85 at Unibet)
Despite everything Liverpool had to endure last year – a disastrous midfield in need of retooling, the departures of Sadio Mane and Divock Origi, disappointments in cup competition on all fronts, a poor first season for Darwin Nunez, a poor first half for Mohamed Salah… the list goes on.
Still, they managed to score 75 goals, the third most in the Premier League.
Roberto Firmino is now gone but Liverpool have improved significantly in midfield with the additions of Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister and there is hope that Nunez and Cody Gakpo can continue their early days at Anfield.
Liverpool may not be ready for a return to title contention given their huge improvement in the second half of last year, but they are prepared for a real rush for a Champions League spot.
Expecting the Reds to score three more goals than last year is an easy hurdle to overcome.

1.85 | 1.85 |
- Best bid: Bruno Fernandes OVER 9.5 goals (1.85 at Unibet)
Folks, this might be the juiciest futures bar ever. This should be easy to collect. As long as Bruno Fernandes stays healthy, he could achieve this by Christmas.
While last year everyone praised Kevin de Bruyne’s brilliance (rightly so as he took nothing from the Belgian), Bruno Fernandes was quietly the most creative player in the Premier League. That’s right, he was the most creative player in the English top flight.
According to Understat, Fernandes racked up 17.27 xA (expected assists) compared to de Bruynes’ 16.32. This is backed up by the fact that Fernandes led the league in both chances (119) and shots (219).
Why did Kevin de Bruyne finish the game with 16 assists and only eight for Fernandes? Very simple: because one had a strong striker and the other didn’t.
While Erling Haaland gobbled up De Bruyne’s serves and netted them, Fernandes mostly missed chances on teammates who faltered in front of goal – only Marcus Rashford managed to raise them regularly and even he fell short of his xG ( expected). goals) total.
This year, Manchester United have closed that gap with Rasmus Hojlund, who should help Fernandes get much closer to his earned assists tally. He should easily surpass that assist mark and give De Bruyne a chance to top the table.

Bukayo Saka Under 9.5 Assist |
|
| Unibet (Australia) |
1.85 | 1.85 |
- Best bid: Bukayo Saka OVER 9.5 Assists (1.85 at Unibet)
At the start of the Premier League season, Bukayo Saka is just 21 years old and is preparing for another excellent season if he can stay on after over 3,000 minutes of play last year.
The Arsenal winger is a key part of this Gunners attack and the hurdles he faces here aren’t too great. Last season Saka recorded 14 goals and 11 assists in every single Arsenal league game and there are plenty of reasons to believe he can match or surpass those totals on both fronts.
Last season, Saka scored 0.5 xG +xA without a penalty in the Premier League game, which is about 16 goal contributions as measured by the metrics over the course of the season. With players like Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard benefiting heavily in front of the net (both surpassed their xG totals by more than 4 goals last year), there are plenty of assists. Saka himself also surpassed his xG by over 1.0 for the second year in a row, proving he can finish on a consistently positive note.
Add to that the fact that Saka led the Premier League in progressive passes by a wide margin (520, that’s 99 more than runner-up Mohamed Salah!), and Odegaard delivered his teammates’ second-most open passes resulting in shot attempts (more than Kevin de Bruyne , who is in third place and Saka in fourth) everyone on the Arsenal front line is likely to remain inflated and Saka’s influence within the squad continues to grow.
| Erling Haaland Over 33.5 goals |
Erling Haaland Under 33.5 goals |
|
| Unibet (Australia) |
1.85 | 1.85 |
- Best bid: Erling Haaland UNDER 33.5 goals (1.85 at Unibet)
Look, Erling Haaland is incredible. This is not a bet against Haaland or Man City, nor does it disparage their personal or team abilities in any way. But after a season in which he set the all-time Premier League record with 36 goals, do we really think he can practically repeat that feat and even reach 34?
That is a high hurdle even for Haaland.
Riyad Mahrez and his 10 assists are gone, and Haaland feels like a muscle injury from Kevin de Bruyne when he doesn’t have to watch his service slip…not remarkable, but below a level where he can achieve that insane total can.
