Graduation represents a significant achievement for any student. The importance of this day is enhanced by the heartfelt congratulations from those we admire, including celebrities. However, getting an answer from the celebrities sounds like a dream, but for a young woman named Renee, it’s a dream come true. Renee – who is known on TikTok as @reneener123 – graduated in 2022 and sent her extra invitation cards to celebrities. A year later, she received replies from several of them, which she shared in a TikTok video. The video has garnered over 12.8 million views and is captioned: “Class of 2023, this is your sign to send your extra graduation cards to celebrities and corporations!”

The text overlay on this video reads, “Last year I sent my additional graduation cards to a number of celebrities and here’s who actually responded to them.” Her list of recipients was full of celebrities including Shaquille O’Neal, Adam Sandler, Barack Obama , Michelle Obama and several others. Though not all responded, Shaquille O’Neal, Michael Jordan, Doctor Mike, Adam Sandler, and Johnny Depp sent congratulatory cards. In one of the official Patreon videos, Doctor Mike even opened up her card. O’Neal’s response was one of her favorite responses, in part because he personalized it with her name.

The people in the comments section absolutely loved these answers. @.praiyasmith asked: “How did you get all their addresses?” @victoriajohn1 asked: “How did you send it to them? Do they have a fan email address?” @tesstakestiktok replied, “I KNEW Shaq would reply. I felt it in my bones.”

Most people were just curious as to how she sourced her news. Renee responded to those questions in a follow-up video by saying, “I just Googled them all. I took extra care that I picked their fan addresses and not their actual personal home addresses.” She added, “If you’re sending it to their actual personal home addresses, it’s really weird and stalkering, so please don’t do that.” Renee keeps all her letters on a bulletin board in her room along with her graduation cap.
She also clarified if she would ever sell those cards. “I foolishly pinned them to my bulletin board with thumbtacks, but I have no intention of selling them.” Few viewers reported a similar experience when sending articles to celebrities. “Adam Sandler sent the exact same card you received, I sent my wedding invitation. Damn I thought she was one of a kind,” replied @yunglagoon. “We got the same reaction from Adam Sandler for my parents’ wedding,” added @rayne.davis.22.

When asked if she received anything else from them besides @sylcar’s autographs, Renee replied, “Just the autographs. I’ve sent my cards to a couple of companies but unfortunately they never sent anything back.” Renee has managed to inspire others to take the plunge and send their cards to celebrities too. “I already have my list ready,” wrote @thotsnprayers4u.
