After Chandrayaan 3, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) successfully launched its Aditya L1 solar mission and everyone, including Indian celebrities, beamed with pride.

All eyes were on TVs showing the live broadcast of the SLV-C57.1 rocket carrying the Aditya L1 orbiter being launched at 11:50 am from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh .

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter: “Following the success of Chandrayaan-3, India continues its space journey. Congratulations to our scientists and engineers at @isro for the successful launch of India’s first solar mission, Aditya-L1. Our relentless scientific endeavors will continue to develop a better understanding of the universe for the benefit of all mankind.”
Indian President Droupadi Murmu tweeted: “The launch of Aditya-L1, India’s first solar mission, is a landmark achievement that will launch India’s indigenous space program on a new trajectory. It will help us to better understand space and celestial phenomena. Congratulations to the scientists and engineers at @isro for this extraordinary achievement. My best wishes for the success of the mission.”

Now that Aditya L1 has launched, it will take 125 days to reach the halo orbit around Lagrange point 1, where it will remain there after traveling 1.5 million kilometers due to balancing gravitational forces.
Before the mission, ISRO Chief S Somanath visited Parameshwari Temple on Friday morning to pray for his success.
Today he said: “I congratulate PSLV on such a different mission approach in conducting the Aditya L1 mission. From now on, the mission will start its journey from the L1 point. It is a very long journey of almost 125 days. Let’s.” I wish the Aditya spacecraft all the best.”
What will Aditya L1 do?

It will launch a space-based solar probe that will help study solar winds that cause disturbances on Earth (also known as the Aurora Borealis). Images of the sun will also be sent, which will help scientists study it.
