Wolfgang Van Halen marries Andraia Allsop, honors dad Eddie Van Halen

Wolfgang Van Halen and his fiancée Andraia Allsop are married!

On Sunday, the 32-year-old frontman of the band Mammoth WVH, the son of the late legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen and actress Valerie Bertinelli, exchanged “I do” with Allsop, a software engineer and photographer. They got engaged in July last year after being together for seven years.

According to an exclusive report on the wedding from People magazine, the couple wed at their Los Angeles home in front of 90 guests and honored several loved ones in the ceremony who were unable to attend, including Eddie Van Halen.

Wolfgang walked down the aisle with his mother and heard an instrumental song called “316” that his father had written for him. “It would be a nice way to include my dad,” he told People.

After exchanging vows in the living room, they hosted a reception in their backyard, according to the outlet.

“Our goal was to bring all of our closest family and friends together,” Allsop said. “The last few years have not been the easiest with not only the world but also personal tragedies, but we wanted to make this wedding not only a celebration for ourselves, but also a celebration for the people we love.”

On Monday, Wolfgang shared People’s post about the ceremony on his Instagram Story with a heart and infinity emoji.

USA TODAY has reached out to Wolfgang’s rep for further comment.

The couple reserved an empty chair at the ceremony honoring the late Van Halen, Allsop told People. She also wore a necklace that Eddie Van Halen had once given to Bertinelli, who lent her the piece for the occasion.

“Ed would have been absolutely beaming and so proud of the man Wolfie has become and is becoming and so happy that he found Andraia, someone who really understands Wolfie, who he is and who he wants to be and who can support him “wholeheartedly supported it,” Bertinelli told the outlet.

Allsop also included “little keepsake tags with a picture of Wolfie and his dad on them” that she made for those with boutonnieres, boutonnieres or bouquets.

Earlier this month, Wolfgang marked the third anniversary of his father’s death. “No happy moment in my life passes without a painful pain because I know that I cannot share it with you. I wish you were here. I love you, Pop,” he posted on October 6 on X, formerly Twitter.

In 2020, Eddie Van Halen died at the age of 65; Wolfgang said on social media that he had “lost his long and hard battle against cancer.”

In August, Mammoth WVH released its second album, “Mammoth II.” In an interview with USA TODAY, Wolfgang revealed that “almost everything about it was a new idea.”

“I think I had five or six song ideas in March 2020 and then I went creatively bankrupt and lost all interest while taking care of dad and observing the state of the world,” he said. “After we toured a bit in early 2022, creative spurts occurred.”
