Halle Bailey is almost two years into her relationship with an American rapper named Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.who goes by the stage name “DDG”, but how did they meet and who is he?
DDG was born on October 10, 1997 in Pontiac, Michigan and has been active in the production world since 2014 after rising to prominence as a small artist on YouTube. Since then, he has 11.7 million subscribers on the streaming platform and his channel has been viewed 1.21 billion times.
After graduating at the top of his class from the International Tech Academy, he attended Central Michigan University before dropping out after his YouTube career proved financially successful. He now lives in Los Angeles County, California, in the same region of the world as his girlfriend.
His music career is successful. He has 5.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify and his song “Moonwalking in Calabasas” has been streamed over 300 million times.

From then on, they continued to talk and in January 2022, rumors began circulating that the two were romantically interested in each other before the official announcement was made in March of the same year. Bailey, known by her nickname “Halle,” described him as her first true love.
“You know, you’ve experienced puppy love, you think that’s love,” she told Cosmopolitan. “But this is my first deep, deep, true love.”
DDG is equally in love with his Hollywood star. “I’m very proud of her,” he told People Magazine. “And I’m just happy to see it. Sometimes I feel like I’m even more excited than everyone else.”

DDG told The Breakfast Club that he would like to propose to his partner of 23 years “at some point,” while Halle noted that her dream would be to have 10 children and own her own land.
“I want to have like 10 babies, live on a farm and have a great house,” she told Essence in 2022. “I want to grow my own food and have an oasis away from the world where my family and I can go and have a great time.”
