  • A “Claim to Fame” contestant suffered a nervous breakdown in front of the camera when she was eliminated.
  • The show features celebrity relatives trying to guess each other’s connections to fame.
  • Carly, the contestant, said she may have “overreacted a little”.

Carly Reeves, the first eliminated contestant from the second season of celebrity relatives series Claim to Fame, left the show at Monday’s premiere with a bang and broke down into a nervous breakdown after losing to the competition.

“I wasn’t even allowed to do any challenges!” Reeves cried out after her departure from the showhouse and sobbed. “I didn’t deserve this! I should have more camera time! I should be here longer!”

Hosted by slightly less famous Jonas brothers Kevin and Frankie, “Claim to Fame” stars the also slightly less famous celebrity relatives who compete to discover other contestants’ connections to fame before they are discovered themselves. The first sign of Reeves’ downfall was a small bench on the notice wall in the house – Hanks’ character sitting on a bench is one of the most iconic images from his film “Forrest Gump” – which they didn’t completely distract the other participants from could away from.

Finally, Hugo, another candidate, correctly guessed that Hanks was Reeves’ uncle. The elimination didn’t go down well, and Reeves’ reaction circulated on Twitter Tuesday.

After hosts Kevin and Frankie Jonas dismissed the other contestants for the evening, Reeves yelled around the house and then began ranting about the competition.

“Those damn clues are so damn obvious! Damn bank?! That’s the damn poster of ‘Forrest Gump’. Are you kidding me?” she yelled as she climbed the stairs of the house.

“Why a bank? Why a bank? There are literally no benches in any other film. Even Gabriel figured that out. He’s not even smart,” she said while gathering up her things and calling out one of the other contestants.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly after the exit, Reeves said she may have “overreacted a little” and called her comments about wanting more camera time “silly.” When it came to Hanks finally watching the episode, she was split.

“I mean, maybe I don’t want him to see it because I don’t want to embarrass him for any reason,” she said. “I hope I don’t embarrass him, but I don’t think I will.”
