Six years after rising in 2015/16, Burnley have cemented their place as a Premier League side over the years – even finishing seventh in one year.
However, last season did not go according to plan for the Clarets and they eventually suffered relegation to the Championship.
Vincent Kompany has joined Turf Moor as the club’s new manager and has worked hard all summer to build a side he believes can make it back to the top flight.

It seems to be paying off as the Clarets currently sit fifth in the league and have lost just one game so far this season.
There is still a long season ahead of us but Burnley fans will no doubt be feeling good at the moment.
Here we take a look at some of the famous faces who are being encouraged by Burnley’s recent form.
Jordan North
Jordan North is best known as a DJ and can currently be heard on ` Radio 1.
In 2020, North was on the ITV reality show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, where he came second and also showed his love for Burnley on multiple occasions.
During a challenge he was told to think of a happy place and his mind wandered to Turf Moor!
Although originally born in York, North grew up in Burnley which makes him an avid supporter and he has a season ticket with Turf Moor.
Jimmy Anderson
Anderson is a cricketer who plays for both England and Lancashire.
He is the all-time leading wicket-taker at Test cricket level and the only fast bowler to have won 600 or more Test wickets.
In June 2021, Anderson became England’s most capped player with his 162nd appearance.
The 40-year-old grew up in Burnley which is why he supports the Clarets and he has previously sent messages of support to the team.

Alistair Campbell is best known for being part of Tony Blair’s team when he was in government between 1997 and 2007.
Campbell worked first as a spokesman and campaign manager, and when Labor was in government served as Downing Street press secretary and spokesman for the Prime Minister, before becoming campaign manager again in 2005.
Although born in Yorkshire himself, Campbell went to Burnley with his father in his youth and was a supporter throughout his life.
Years ago he was instrumental in saving the club from bankruptcy and is still regularly involved in club events.
King Charles
Finally, and perhaps most surprisingly, the current King Charles III has previously revealed that he is a supporter of Burnley.
Back in 2012, the 73-year-old spoke about his charity work in Burnley at Windsor Castle at a reception for the British Asian Trust.
According to the Sport Bible, Charles said: “Some of you asked tonight if I supported a British football club and I said yes, Burnley.”
The King had visited Turf Moor before his confession but Burnley have since invited him to the club and offered him a VIP season ticket.
