The walls at Chef’s Restaurant are covered all over with celebrities posing with the original delicious sauce, but who was the first to do it?

You might be surprised to learn that the first person to take a picture with the legendary Chef’s sauce visited the restaurant back in 1997, and that celebrity was none other than Jerry Springer. Lou Billittier Jr. actually credits him with erecting the Wall.

On April 27, Jerry Springer passed away at his Chicago home at the age of 79 after battling pancreatic cancer, and of course Chef’s Restaurant paid tribute to Springer and the legacy he created at their restaurant.

Jerry Springer is best known for his talk show of the same name, which he ended in 2018 after 27 seasons and almost 5,000 episodes. It wasn’t full retirement, however… Jerry Springer worked on a handful of other television series.

There are so many celebrities hanging on the wall at Chef’s, but next time you’re there, pay attention to Springer’s photo.
