Pop singer Olivia Rodrigo appears to have a Chipotle card giving her free food – and it’s sparked debate online.
Rodrigo took to her Instagram story to showcase the card that grants her free food from the chain for a year.
She called the card her “cherished possession” in a screenshot highlighted on TikTok. Her name is also on the card.

The post seems old as some people posted about it in 2021.
But recently, TikToker @tallneil made a video discussing the musician’s card, noting that she “doesn’t pay for Chipotle.”
“She has what’s called a Chipotle Celebrity Card. It’s personalized and means she can go to Chipotle whenever she wants and she doesn’t pay anything,” the creator said in the video.
He also said that you can’t apply for it or buy it.
“It’s just an advantage to be famous.”

The creator also claimed that other celebrities have the same card, but there’s a “catch”.
“You don’t get unlimited Chipotle for life, you get it for a year. It expires in a year,” he said, before explaining a “cautionary tale” of the American Airlines Airpass, which gave people unlimited flights for a lifetime.
“And American Airlines lost so much money they had to shut it down and there was a huge lawsuit. So Chipotle learned from her mistakes and let her card expire after a year.”
In a Sports Business Journal report, Chipotle sent the cards to celebrities who spoke positively and publicly about the restaurant.
The whole idea is that celebrities help spread the word about the companies while getting free stuff.
The idea is that celebrities bring positive attention to the companies in exchange for the free stuff.
“We believe that our food sells itself, and that’s one of the things that makes our word-of-mouth marketing possible,” Joe Stupp, Chipotle’s social media manager at the time, reportedly told Sports Business Journal in 2013 the map.
People who saw @tallneil’s post expressed their dislike for those who could easily feed and receive benefits at fast food chains.
One wrote: “Crazy how we give so much to people who already have enough.”
“It pisses me off that famous rich people get things for free so often like they don’t need them,” added another.
A third wrote: “It’s so funny how rich people keep getting richer and richer because they get free stuff!!! HAHA!!”
Someone else had a theory about celebrity wealth, adding: “That’s why I keep saying that celebrities don’t make nearly as much as people think; They are only GIVEN, so it seems like they are rich.”
Chipotle isn’t the only grocery chain that has offered unlimited free food to celebrities.
Actor Colin Farrell, a fan of the Irish kebab franchise Abrekebabra, told Jimmy Kimmel in a 2020 interview that he received the company’s first-ever Black Card, which gave him access to food without ever having to pay.
