Jay-Z, Barry Bonds among celebrities expected to attend NBA Finals Game 1 between Celtics and Warriors

SAN FRANCISCO — Hall of Famers, musicians and even a professional poker player will be among the fans tuned in to catch Game 1 of the NBA Finals at 9:00 p.m. Thursday as the Celtics and Warriors tip off.

The league released the following list of familiar faces for the crowd. The list does not include Red Sox players or coaches, although some are expected to participate as they are in Oakland for a weekend series.

Here is the list of the NBA:

• Jay-Z, Grammy Award-winning rapper and record manager
• Barry Bonds, legend of the San Francisco Giants
• Gary Payton, NBA Champion and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. His son Gary Payton II plays for the Warriors.
• Bill Walton, NBA Champion and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer
• Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey
• Ahmad Rashad, sports commentator
• James Kaprielian, Oakland A player
• No ID, record producer and executive
• Phil Hellmuth, professional poker player
• Neal Schon, guitarist in Journey (performer of the national anthem)

Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart, who was not on the list, is present with Walton, who is known to be a Dead Head.
