For a state that isn't one of the largest in the country, Louisiana certainly produces a lot of celebrities. Before we really get into it, we need to realize that many of the state's celebrities are athletes…which is a slightly different type of “celebrity” to some people.
But Louisiana is also a state known for entertainment and performance. Hence, it is not difficult to find a long list of singers and actors from the state.

One of the interesting things about getting older is that you notice how old your favorite athletes and actors are getting. Because when you realize how old these celebrities are, you start thinking about how old you are getting. Which isn't always a great thought.
Compiling this list has actually made me much more conscious when it comes to how old I am getting. Because some of the people on this list celebrating birthdays over 40 are people I saw in high school. I mean, when I was in high school. This makes me feel pretty old.
Again, these are just celebrities from Louisiana. It's not a comprehensive list, and if you were to look at any of them it would probably make this feeling worse.
