Gunther Shares How WWE Booking Celebrities Like Logan Paul And Bad Bunny In Big Spots Like WrestleMania Can Be “A Little Bit Two-Sided”

Over the years, fans have seen many names become legends at WrestleMania. Recently, however, the way the match card for the mega event is booked has changed. WWE tends to show more interest in celebrities than full-time stars when it comes to celebrity spots. Recently, current IC Champion Gunther discussed the matter and shared his feelings about sharing a stage like WrestleMania with outsiders.

Speaking recently to Josh Martinez of Superstar Crossover, the SmackDown star opened up about his career bucket list, action figures and more. The IC Champion also gave his honest opinion on WWE giving big spots to outside Superstars.

Gunther praises WWE’s decision to book Logan Paul and Bad Bunny in WrestleMania spots

On the show, The Ring General said the whole thing was “a little bit two-sided.” He understands that bringing a celebrity along helps WWE generate more exposure. However, for someone who works year-round, the only goal is “to be there for this great spectacle”.

Gunther thinks it can be “frustrating” when an underdog gets a seat like WrestleMania. At the same time, it also has a positive side. Outside celebrities can prove to be of great help to everyone involved.

The only condition for the IC Champion is that those who come must bring passion and a willingness to take risks. Gunther then mentioned Logan Paul and Bad Bunny’s WrestleMania performance and praised their desire to put their bodies on the line.

In fact, The Ring General thinks the YouTube star may be willing to take more risks than he would. He said celebs like Logan and Bunny contribute positively to their world despite being outsiders.

Both celebs are poised to make some big appearances on WWE television in the coming months

As Gunther noted, Logan Paul and Bad Bunny proved they belong in the WWE ring. While the YouTube star has been delivering 38 bangers since WrestleMania. In fact, his encounter with Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel 2022 received 5 stars from everyone.

Bad Bunny received a lot of praise for his performance against The Miz and John Morrison at WrestleMania 37. He also had an entertaining cameo at last year’s Royal Rumble.

Well, everyone knows that Triple H invites people with such a passion for pro wrestling. WrestleMania 39 will feature Logan Paul in a high profile match against Seth Rollins. On the other hand, the Puerto Rican rapper is set to host Backlash’s pay-per-view in May.

Nonetheless, Gunther will also get his WrestleMania opponent on this week’s SmackDown. The show will feature a Fatal Five-Way match to determine his challenger for the IC title.
