Posted 10:32 – Corn Corn is up 3 cents and May soybeans are down 7 cents. May KC wheat is up 7 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 1/4 cent. Crude oil in April is up $0.65 and Dow Jones futures are up 108 points. The US Dollar Index is down 0.95 and Gold is up $27.20 in April. The soybean complex remains under pressure while corn is only slightly higher and the two winter wheat markets are very firm. There was little news early Friday other than further downgrades in Argentina’s corn and soybean crops, with the latest news from the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange. Next week is expected to see increased talks between the parties involved in the Black Sea Grain Corridor before the end of March 18.

Posted 08:35 – Corn is up 2 1/4 cents and May soybeans are down 5 cents. May KC wheat is up 3 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 2 1/4 cents. Crude oil in April is up $0.14 and Dow Jones futures are down 97 points. The US Dollar Index is down 0.79 and Gold is up $21.00 in April. Corn and wheat markets have stabilized somewhat after a jarring week of losses, but soybeans and soymeal are lower to start Friday. There is little news aside from continued lower estimates for Argentina’s corn and soybean markets, which should have more bullish implications. The US jobs report showed a more resilient economy, with February gains of a higher-than-expected 311,000 jobs.

Posted 11:28 – April live cattle down $0.43 to $164.375, April feed cattle down $1.13 to $198.025, April lean hogs up $1.25 to $86.325, corn is up 1 cent a bushel and May Soybean Meal is down $4.70. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 139.87 points. Heading into Friday afternoon we’ll be watching closely to see if any more barstock trading develops, although it looks like the vast majority of the week’s deals are done. It will also be interesting to see if pigs can keep their momentum going until close.

Posted at 08:32 – April live cattle down $0.18 to $164.625, April feed cattle down $0.38 to $198.775, April lean hogs down $0.28 to 85.35 $up, corn is up 1 1/2 cents a bushel and May soybean meal is down $2.80. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 47.03 points. Traders will continue to monitor the cash cattle market during Friday’s trading as more cattle are expected to be traded. Prices have been completely stable with last week’s trading in both the north and south (cased cattle traded at $265 and live cattle at $165).
