Last week it was announced that Bruce Willis will be making a rest stop on the Garden State Parkway that bears his name sometime this spring.
New Jersey Turnpike Authority commissioners approved the New Jersey Hall of Fame application on Feb. 27.
Willis was born in Germany while his father was stationed there, but moved with his family to Carney's Point in Salem County when he was two years old.
He grew up here, attended high school here and started acting here. He even has the South Jersey accent that goes with everything.
He certainly deserves the honor, but so do so many other Jersey figures. Deminski and Doyle asked their audience who should get their own rest area.
We asked Dennis & Judi listeners to make their list, and while some of them might sound a little unconventional or ironic, we thought they were worth mentioning.
Some are notable and some are somewhat infamous, but here's what we have.

Although he died before many of us were born, he made a name for himself in show business with a legendary career as part of the comic duo Abbot and Costello.
He was born in Paterson and rose to legendary status in the 1940s and '50s with routines that endured well beyond his life, which ended far too soon.

OK OK OK. Calm. No, he wasn't born here, but he left quite an impression here. He owned the Steel Pier and several hotels/casinos in Atlantic City.
He still owns a number of golf courses here and, as president, spent a lot of time here at his residence on his golf course in Bedminster.

Born Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero in Newark in 1937, she is now 87 years old. She published her last autobiography in 2017.
In 1960 she was recognized as the most successful female artist in Germany, Japan, Great Britain, Italy and Australia, as well as in all other countries where records were purchased.
She became the first woman in history to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, just one of her other 53 career hits.
Buzz Aldrin

The famous astronaut was born in Glen Ridge and grew up in Montclair. He was the second person to set foot on the moon, following mission commander Neil Armstrong in 1969.
The 94-year-old still has a Jersey attitude and he proved it at the age of 72 when, in 2002, he punched a filmmaker who had cheated on him and mugged him with a film crew. You go Buzz!
Taylor ham/pork roll
They should name a truck stop after the famous Jersey staple Taylor Ham at a truck stop in North Jersey and after Pork Roll for a truck stop in South Jersey. Not a bad idea!
