Celebrities grace Michael Leyva’s 10th anniversary fashion show at the National Museum │ GMA News Online
Celebrities beamed as they walked the halls of the National Museum of the Philippines to celebrate Michael Leyva’s 10th anniversary in fashion.
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis were among those who presented the fashion designer’s new Hiraya collection.
Other celebrities also attending the event included Kapuso stars Alden Richards and Sanya Lopez, who wowed in a black ensemble.
“Hiraya” is an “ancient Filipino word meaning ‘the fruit of one’s hopes and aspirations,'” the museum wrote in a Facebook post.
Leyva has made a mark in his decades-long career. Among his most iconic masterpieces is the yellow dress that Kris Aquino wore to the premiere of Crazy Rich Asians in 2018.
He also used his skills to help others. During the peak of the pandemic in 2020, Leyva produced PPE and face masks for COVID-19 frontliners, according to a report by GMA Entertainment.
Michael Leyva dedicates the collection to his late brother Brian.
