Jobs in Hollywood aren’t always easy to come by.
The entertainment industry often has its ups and downs, leaving entertainers struggling between projects to find their next big role. It’s not uncommon for our favorite stars to take a break from the stage or big screen while working to land a new role, but some famous faces don’t need a break at all before moving on to the next.
This is understandable considering the world is on the verge of a looming recession and experts are suggesting we are taking extra steps to protect ourselves. An August 2022 PwC report contained insights from hundreds of consultants they spoke to about the state of the workforce, and the results were surprising. It showed that half of US companies are significantly reducing their workforce or planning to do so. This does not exclude the conversation as they have faced pandemic-related supply chain issues.

Nonetheless, some celebs do know how to keep the jobs rolling, and we love seeing it for them. Here are a few that we’ve noticed never fail to work.
01
Keke Palmer
A consummate professional for more than two decades, Keke Palmer has consistently added impressive accomplishments to her resume. From her first movie role as a kid to her latest person hosting her own talk show, the bags just don’t stop there. This year alone, she starred in one of the most talked about films, Nope, and recently launched her own digital network.

02
Niecy Nash
Our all time favorite is always on our screens. The former ‘Reno 911’ actress quit the hit series Claws in February 2022, appeared in Netflix’s most talked-about series, Dahmer, and is now starring in her new show, ‘The Rookie: Feds’ on HULU. “I was always busy with at least two jobs at the same time, sometimes three,” she said in an interview at the height of the pandemic. “So I know that’s how it worked for me. What would I do now if it wasn’t for COVID? To work.”

03
Kevin Hart
Kevin Hart has released dozens of films, comedy specials, and other projects, including a podcast, his own comedy network, an expanded production company, and a vegan restaurant. “There are no days off,” he said in a 2016 interview with Sharp Magazine. “This is the only information I can give you that I think is very important and very valid. I use every day. I treat them all as important as the important ones.”

04
Samuel L Jackson
His career spans four decades and he’s not slowing down anytime soon. From roles in Marvel films and Star Wars franchises to lending his voice to robotic assistance devices, Sam has always been the man.

05
Shaq
This NBA legend refuses to rest on her laurels despite retiring from court years ago. He is a successful businessman, actor, author and even a student. One thing about Shaq, he goes to work.

06
Dwayne Johnson
Starting out as a star WWE wrestler, The Rock harnessed his charisma to a dynamic acting career years ago and hasn’t looked back since. Almost every year we see him in a new blockbuster hit (most likely alongside his friend Kevin Hart) that grosss millions. But judging by the way he works, you’d think he makes pennies.

07
Issa Rae
Of course, we couldn’t cross our favorite mogul off the list. The actress, producer, record label CEO, beauty brand owner and perpetual yacht party tosser is one of the hardest working women in Hollywood. Rightly so, because everything she touches turns to gold.
