In Dave Chappelle’s 2004 special For What It’s Worth, he joked about an MTV reporter asking Ja Rule for his thoughts on 9/11. What seemed ridiculous at the time was slowly becoming the norm. And yes, Celebrities have been campaigning for various causes for decades, but over the past few years, Covid, BLM and the #MeToo movement have seen a lot of celebrities speak out lately. Unfortunately, some of them are shockingly clueless and out of touch.
