The Problem with Knowing What You’re Looking for
September 16th, 2009
I recently had a client make a very astute observation. In a dead pan voice she said, “The problem with charts for me is I already know what I’m looking for”.
Hearing that is like a feeling a cool breeze on a hot day, because I know she already knows her primary weakness: her opinion.
We both agreed that knowing how to read a chart properly gives the trader the advantage of knowing what the market’s current trend is, regardless of what we think it should be.
