Williamsport City Workers are scattered but can be located on the map | News, sports, jobs

City council is scattered all over Williamsport due to the town hall closure, but that doesn’t mean the offices and staff are not easy to find.

A map with access routes to various town hall and city administration departments is displayed outside the closed and condemned town hall.

City council administrator Joseph Gerardi said he created the map and notice because of the town hall’s closure and the relocation of offices. It is a requirement to meet the Accessibility Act and a courtesy for people in the city to find out where the staff work, he said.

The mayor, the human resources department, the engineer and the police administration are located at 100 W. Third St. on the third floor of the Trade and Transport Center I.

The finance department is located at Commerce and Traffic I on the second floor.

The office of the treasurer and controller is in Handel and Transit I on the first floor.

The municipal clerk is located in the Trade and Transit Center II on the third floor.

The Bureau of Codes is located at 1500 W. Third St. in the River Valley Transit building on the first floor.

The Police Guard Commander and Patrol Department are located at 810 Nichols Place on the first floor of the former Peter Herdic Transportation and Trolley Museum.

The city council holds its meetings in Commerce and Transit II on the third floor.

The attendants are the same and are listed on the city’s website at www.cityofwilliamsport.org.

The town hall remains closed after rain damage in July, which resulted in Gerardi issuing a warning due to the rain, which led to mold growth and an unhealthy interior condition for workers and visitors, which must be rehabilitated before reopening.

Construction related to the installation of the multi-part accessible ramp that runs from the sidewalk along West Fourth Street to the front of City Hall is expected to begin in the week of November 7, Sander said.

Material availability delayed installation by Landserve of Boalsburg, which is installing the ramp for $ 165,000, he said.
