Nigerian celebrities have used social media to express their shock and heartbreak after the shocking death of Nollywood veteran Rachel Oniga.

The actress, who passed away on Friday evening July 30th, has been remembered by some of her industry peers.

1. Bimbo Oshin

The actress wrote:

“Heaven has just won another beautiful soul, Aunt Rachel! Haa! I’m speechless. Rest in peace Aunt This life sha!”

2. Compass okay

Oke attributed her success to the late actress, who she said was responsible for her breakthrough in the industry.

Sound Sultan’s death

It did so a few weeks after the Nigerian entertainment industry fell into mourning following the death of the singer-songwriter Sound Sultan.

The family sent out an official statement shared on Instagram by Efe Omoregbe, the manager of 2baba.

In the announcement, Dr. Kayode Fasasi on behalf of the late singer’s family.
